Tornado Schmornado...

I had lunch with Steve today at Sirloin Stockade. We stopped by the bank on 17th and Loraine to hit up the ATM afterwards. We also ended up taking a the casual way back to work. On the way back I had mentioned that I loved looking at all the dark clouds and how they were layered in the sky, as I looked upward at the storm moving in rapidly. I even mentioned how some of the clouds had hangy-downs,(lil funnels) and wouldn't you know it?! We get back to work to find out that a tornado (probably just straight winds) touched down right where we had been for lunch!!! No Kidding.

That's just pretty insane for a Thursday, ya know? Haha! Called my cousin who works in the medical industry, she said all the windows were blown out and that there were no warning sirens until long after the damage had been done....typical.

Oh, I guess I better post this gripe here. The wind has been insane this year. I hate it, mostly because it stirs my allergies so bad, but also because I'm stuck with styling my hair into buns, french twists, and Minnie ears. No BIG hair for a while people!

2 posts in one day!?!

Did I mention.....My birthday is Monday?! Haha *winks*

Countdown

I will be 28 in a few days from now. I'm not too sure how I'm taking it. I'm still the youngest person at my day Job and that makes me smile!

I've had it out with my supervisor and regional manager this week. I'm not a fan of either, but I'm not so sure they see me as a valuable employee. We are going through a re-model and they have expected immediate results and rebounds. Impossible. I cannot express how angry and disgruntled I was when I left work on Friday. Fortunately it didn't carry over to my other job.

I did have a sit down with my immediate super today when I got to work. I managed to get a few things out, but as always when it's my turn to talk, he was pressed for time. I had even made a list of things that I wanted to discuss, but only made it through half. damn it.

My friend from NZ is back in the States. He stopped in last night and we had a nice dinner at a Mexican resturaunt and then lounged the rest of the time in front of my tv. We watched most of the shows I had recorded this last week on my DVR. good stuff.

Sopranos seems to be dragging for me this season so far. I feel like the writers haven't given me enough in each episode to want more. I'll keep watching of course, but my expectations are high and I hope that they get better, starting this Sunday. But, on the other hand, I am becoming a fan of "Big Love," I think it's because the show and it's plots are so bizzare, which makes me miss Carnivale. Bring back the carnies! damn it.

Spent some time with a friend late Friday night, who I haven't physically seen in a long time. I was wondering if he packed up and moved to Guatemala or something crazy like that. It was great to hang out and remind each other why we are friends! I also received an e-mail from one of my classmates who sent pics of her baby (just precious,) which leads me to believe that this is a week of re-kindling. good stuff.

I just wanna sleep

All this colder weather that we are finally getting now, is making me wanna hole up in my toasty slippers and a blanket, and just watch tv all day. Doesn't sound half bad. I rented a few movies this weekend and had a movie marathon. I watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, The Corpse Bride, and A History of Violence. I was let down by Harry Potter and Corpse Bride. CB lacked the dark comediac relief that is usually present in Tim Burton's films. I just expeted more. Harry Potter left me wanting so much more from most of the characters. I was truly disappointed.

We got new uniforms at McGraw's, oh boy. LOL The tank tops they bought us only half fits me. I'm not gonna mention which half. So I finally talked my boss into giving me one of the guys' shirts, they got bowler's shirts that are grey and purple. (k-state colors!) Turns out to be a great look for me by the way.

We have alot of things planned for the next couple of months and I hope to make loads of cash. I also plan to meet some celebrities in the process. I will take try to get some photos with Don Vito and Ryan Dunn! Check out the schedule for the bar at www.mcgrawsclub.com

Where does my day off go?

Well it was another jam-packed weekend. Trina came down from KC and worked at the bar with me all weekend. I did finish the costumes for St Pat's Day in time for work Friday night. We were super busy and I made some good money. The Great money came on Saturday night.

We booked a lesbian band from Wichita. They brought a party bus with 75 lesbians on it, haha! AND... there were about 200 total in the bar mixed in with the regular crowd. They totally proved to me that I could never ever go to the dark side, because for the most part, I don't like women, AT ALL. The bar was all a-buzz with drama and more drama. I cannot believe how aggressive some of these women are, actually I am still shocked. I already have a hard time dealing with MEN who are assertive, it makes me shy because mostly I like to be the aggressor. Took me a long time to figure that out too.

Oh yeah! The big bang for my weekend...I finally got new carpet installed in my walk-in room!!! Falon is having a hay day running around with all her claws out, getting fabulous traction! I thinks she's high from the new carpet fumes, crazy fool. I'm still leary of letting Tiger in to check it out. That lil piss box will probably take one wiff and it will all be over after that. I would just die, but we'll see...maybe I'll bathe him and let him out to pee, then bring him in again. I'll keep you posted.

"I wanna big red nose! I want some floppy shoes!"

That's right baby!!! Cross Canadian Ragweed is coming to McGraw's in Hutchinson, America June 2nd! I finally convinced our Promoter to contact them and see if they would come, but sold my soul in the process... now I have to sell 100 tix and the venue only holds 1000. So yes, if you can do math, that's 1/10 of the crowd that will be my friends, family, and acquaintences. So if you wanna see this show, don't hesitate to cantact me by phone, e-mail, comment, or blog!!! The sooner the better, cause I have a feeling we're gonna sell out!

I'm a Freakin Moon Pie!

OKRA (Dec 22 - Jan 20) Are tough on the outside but tender on the inside. Okras have tremendous influence. An older Okra can look back over his life and see the seeds of his influence everywhere. You can do something good each day if you try.

CHITLIN (Jan 21 - Feb 19) Chitlins come from humble backgrounds. A Chitlin, however, will make something of himself if he is motivated and has lots of seasoning. In dealing with Chitlins, be careful they may surprise you. They can erupt like Volcanos. Chitlins are best with
Catfish and Okra.

BOLL WEEVIL (Feb 20 - March 20) You have an overwhelming curiosity. You're unsatisfied with the surface of things, and you feel the need to
bore deep into the interior of everything. Needless to say, you are very intense and driven as if you had some inner hunger. You love to stay busy and tend to work too much. Nobody in their right mind is going to marry you, so don't
worry about it.

MOON PIE (March 21 - April 20) You're the type that spends a lot of time on the front porch. A cinch to recognize the physical appearance of Moon Pies. Big and round are the key words here. You should marry anybody who you can get remotely
interested in the idea. It's not going to be easy. You always have a big smile and are happy. This might be the year to think about aerobics. Maybe not.

POSSUM (April 21 - May 21) When confronted with life's difficulties, possums have a marked tendency to withdraw and develop a don't-bother-me-about-it attitude. Sometimes you become so withdrawn, people actually think you're dead. This strategy is probably not psychologically healthy but seems to work for you. You are a rare breed. Most folks love to watch you work and play. You are a night person and mind your own business.

CRAWFISH (May 22 - June 21) Crawfish is a water sign. If you work in an office, you're hanging around the water cooler. Crawfish prefer the
beach to the mountains, the pool to the golf course, and the bathtub to the living room. You tend not to be particularly attractive physically, but you have very, very good heads.

COLLARDS (June 22 - July 23) Collards have a genius for communication. They love to get in the melting pot of life and share their essence with the essence of those around them. Collards make good social workers, psychologists, and baseball managers. As far as your personal life goes, if you are Collards, stay away from Crawfish. It just won't work. Save yourself a lot of heartache.

CATFISH (July 24 - Aug 23) Catfish are traditionalists in matters of the heart, although one's whiskers may cause problems for loved ones. You Catfish are never easy people to understand. You run fast. You work and play hard. Even though you prefer the muddy bottoms to the clear surface of life, you are liked by most. Above all else, Catfish should stay away from Moon Pies.

GRITS (Aug 24 - Sept 23) Your highest aim is to be with others like yourself. You like to huddle together with a big crowd of other Grits.
You love to travel though, so maybe you should think about joining a club. Where do you like to go? Anywhere they have cheese, gravy, bacon, butter, or eggs and a good time. If you can go
somewhere where they have all these things, that serves you well. You are pure in heart.

BOILED PEANUTS (Sept 24 - Oct 23) You have a passionate desire to help your fellow man. Unfortunately, those who know you best, your friends and loved ones, may find that your personality is much too salty, and their criticism will affect you deeply because you are really much softer than you appear. You should go right ahead and marry anybody you want to because in a certain way, yours is a charmed life. On the road of life, you can be sure that people will always pull over and stop for you.

BUTTER BEAN (Oct 24 - Nov 22) Always invite a Butter Bean to a party because Butter Beans get along well with everybody. You, as a Butter
Bean, should be proud. You've grown on the vine of life, and you feel at home no matter what the setting. You can sit next to anybody. However,
you, too, shouldn't have anything to do with Moon Pies.

ARMADILLO (Nov 23 - Dec 21) You have a tendency to develop a tough exterior, but you are actually quite gentle and kind inside. A good
evening for you? Old friends, a fire, some roots, fruit, worms, and insects. You are a throwback. You're not concerned with today's fashions and trends. You're not concerned with
anything about today. You're almost prehistoric in your interests and behavior patterns. You probably want to marry another Armadillo, but a Possum is another interesting mating possibility.
